Gorgui Dieng has been one of the most consistent players we’ve had all season, and is a big reason for our recent success. One of my favorite Yum! Center moments was hearing the whole place start the “GORGUI” chant as he hopped off the court during the Rutgers game. From my seat I could see down the hall way where Dieng was running back and forth, jumping up and down, and trying to test his ankle to see if he could come back in. When he finally checked back into the game, the crowd erupted in cheer, and shortly after Gorgs added another block to his total. Dieng is quickly becoming a fan favorite with his team first attitude, ability to improve every game, and love for the game. I look forward to seeing how good of a player Gorgui Dieng can become before he leaves UofL, it appears that the sky is the limit.
And as usual thanks to hell in the hall and Matt Wickham
